MANATV

MANA TV is an ICT based learning resource accessible even for students in remote and rural areas. The information Technology & Communications Department of the State Government has constituted SAPNET to handle the production and telecast of MANA TV programmes. MANA TV is utilized by the departments of Government of Andhra Pradesh to telecast related programmes.

SAPNET allocated one hour (12-1PM) for the Department of Collegiate education to live telecast programmes in tune with the student’s academic needs and demands of the job market. Every day youtube link related to the MANA TV Live session is shared to all Colleges so that they can utilize Virtual Classrooms and MANA TV sets to watch the programme. These lessons are also available permanently in Youtube channel so that students can watch the programmes in their activitites.

Activities:

Proposed to conduct MANA TV Live sessions /lessons through SAPNET for benefit of undergraduate students in AP by the faculty.

Hours of e-videos content to be recorded for hosting on the Learning Management system application of the Department

Student Counselling

There is an effective student counseling system in the college. The system runs as follows

The mentors meet the students associated with them once in a week. A separate monitoring and counseling hour is maintained for each class as part of their time table and the respective faculty meets the students in the allotted hour.
The parents/Guardians of students with poor attendance/performance will be informed to meet the mentors and corrective, preventive measures are being implemented for further improvement.
Periodic meetings are conducted by the Principal with the HODs to review the functionality and regularity of the students.
The mentors meet 6 students from each class every week. Senior students will interact with junior students sharing the experiences in co-curricular activities and seminars. The fresh ideas will float during the meetings.
The class interaction committee meetings are being conducted twice in a semester for every class to know and solve the student problems.
Every student participates in the events conducted in the college or other colleges with the prior permission of the concerned HOD.
Disciplinary committee of the college promptly curbs the indiscipline in the campus.
The anti-Ragging committee monitors the freshers by frequently visiting the sensitive areas within the campus and outside the campus.
An additional duty is assigned to the faculty members to monitor the freshers from being affected by any sort of ragging in the campus.
