RULES OF CONDUCT AND DESCIPLINE:
- Candidates seeking admission into First Year of B.Sc., / B.Com., / B.A., Degree courses should have passed the Intermediate Examinations conducted by the Board of the Intermediate Education, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, or any Examination recognized by S.V. University, Tirupati as equivalent there of.
- Application form with prospectus can be obtained in person from the college office between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm on all working days. Separate application is to be submitted for each group. Application duly filled in together with the required true copies of the certificates should reach the office of the Principal on or before the prescribed date.
The following “True Copies” of certificates are to be enclosed with application form.
- Marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- Transfer Certificate & Conduct Certificate from the institution last studied.
- Private Candidates should produce Exemption Certificate given by Board of Intermediate Education.
- S.S.C. Certificate.
- Caste Certificate in case of SC / ST / BC students issued by Mandal Revenue Office after 1st January, 2009.
- Ex-Servicemen Certificate issued by Competent Authorities.
- Physically Handicapped Certificate issued by Orthopaedic Surgoen.
- Merit Certificates if any N.C.C. / Sports / Games. (District Level / State Level / Junior College Level only).
- Study Certificate showing last 4 years consecutive years of study or residence certificate issued by Mandal Revenue Officer.
- Self Addressed stamped envelope of Rs. 5/- for sending intimation letters.
- Scholarships for all SC, ST, BC, Minorities and eligible O.C. candidates will be given.
General Instructions :
- Candidates who have already completed one course of study in the college are Not Eligible for admission either in the same or in different course.
- Candidates against whom the criminal cases are pending are not eligible for admission.
- Applications made for one particular Group or Medium will not be considered for another group or medium.
- Women students should write the world “WOMAN” after their name in the bracket.
- Selection or waiting list intimation will be sent to the candidates by post (ordinary). The college is not responsible for non-delivery or late delivery etc.
However, all Selection / Waiting lists will also be displayed on the college notice board. Students are advised to find out their selection from the notice board.

Code of Conduct for Students
- The identity card must be carried by the student at all the times while on the campus.
- Student must attend the Classes regularly as per the time table.
- Student should have minimum 75% attendance for writing the final
- Students conduct should be satisfactory.
- Student should appear for all the internal examinations and perform satisfactory results.
- Students are advised to read all the notices displayed on the notice boards.
- Student must not loiter in the institute premises.
- No association must be formed in the institute and no person should be invited to address a meeting without principals prior permission.
- No field trips or education tours should be arranged without prior consent of the principal.
- Students are expected to take proper care of the institute Any damage done to the property of the institute by disfiguring the walls, doors, fittings or breaking the furniture etc., is a breach of discipline.

- Teachers Communication with the students should clearly and write the instructions for each assignment.
- Prepare thoroughly the lecture to be delivered in advance.
- Use ICT tools of teaching to make the lectures more interesting

- Attendance of the students should be posted regularly. Complete the syllabus as per schedule in time.
- knowledge of subject should be updated and the current affairs
- Internal examinations should be conducted as per the schedule and examinations papers should be evaluated the time.
- Conduct lectures and practical’s as per the time table.
- Be polite to the students, listen their problems and should make efforts to solve them. Be in contact with the parents / guardians of the students.
- Care must be take the prior approval of leave from respective authority and make the alternative arrangements for the lecture.

Code of Conduct for Principal
- Principal is responsible to the Special Commissioner of Collegiate Education Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada for all academic, financial and administrative activities of the institute.
- Review academic programs, collaborative programs and human resources management of the institute.
- Admission committee of the institute should implement admission process as prescribed by V.University and the state government.
- Development and implementation of strategic plan for short term and long term development of the institute and sustainable quality improvement.
- Students services at institute level should be Plan and facilitate guidance, counselling and other Maintaining support services, academic facilities etc.
- In Staff meeting discuss and approve financial issues, annual reports, accounts and audit reports from time to time. Demonstrate care and commitment to academic excellence and plan to organize faculty and supporting staff development programs.

Government Degree College for Women, Madanapalle, affiliated to S. V. University, and recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12 (b) was established in December 1984 with the sole intention of imparting education to women students, most of whom come from rural areas surrounding Madanapalle. Though the college is urban-based, it chiefly caters to the needs of Women students who travel 40 to 50 Kms per day to pursue their goal. The college offers conventional and restructured courses with a low fee structure. At present, the college offers instruction in 8 different undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Sciences and one Post Graduate course in Urdu. From a humble student strength of 28 in 1984,the college has on its rolls 534 in the current academic year.
The college is spread over 1.04 acres with limited accommodation. Despite the lack of required physical and infrastructural resources, the college, during the last 33 years of its existence, has striven hard to train women students on all planes – intellectual,moral, Physical and spiritual. Every attempt has been made to make women students self-reliant and self-confident. The staff of the college has taken every care in terms of academic excellence which has vastly improved the pass percentage over and above the university average for various courses. The college has been accredited by NAAC with a ‘B’ grade in 2007.
The college was reaccredited at “B” grade (CGPA 2.77) by NAAC in March, 2016. Academic audit is being done regularly and getting the API (Academic Performance Indicator) score every year. The IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) has been monitoring the academic and administrative activities and submits AQAR (Annual Quality Assurance Reports) to the NAAC Officer, Bangalore, NAAC. The college has been rendering yeomen service to fulfil its vision and mission thereby to promote Smart and Skilled Youth to keep abreast with the changing times.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The institution aims at imparting quality education duly adopting and modifying the methods of teaching to suit the requirements of the stakeholders. In doing so, certain novel and better practices are evolved and implemented accordingly.
- Regular Teacher-Parent interaction is held to bring to the notice of the parents the progress of their wards. Ward system monitored by a teacher aims at identifying the strengths and the weaknesses of the students so as to bring about changes to attain their goal. Remedial coaching classes are conducted for the benefit of slow learners.
- Students are encouraged to participate in funds raising from the public in times of natural calemities like floods so as to incalculate in them the basic values of compassion and charity which ultimately strengthenhuman relationship . Staff also extend their full cooperation in this regard.
- Participation in DRC activities at the district level:-Students are encouraged to participate in various competitions conducted under the ageis of the District Resource Centre in different colleges of the district so as to bring out the innate talents of the students in literary and cultural activities. This exposure enables them to set higher goals for themselves in this competitive world.
- Endowment Prizes:- The college conducts various competitions, i.e., literary, and quiz to motivate the students to update their general knowledge to face competitive examinations. Rangoli is an annual . Fete students evince keen interest in this activity. Winners are rewarded with prizes. Meritarious students of each class are identified and given cash prizes by the staff concerned to enthuse them to excell academically. Some staff have liberally instituted endowment prizes in memory of their parents.
- The NSS wing of the college motivates the students to participate voluntarily in various activities aimed at societal transformation through blood donation camps, regular visit to an adopted village and organizing annual field trips to promote brotherhood and community service. Students also take part in RRC, YRC of the Indian Red Cross Society.
The institution follows the following best and innovative exercises for the benefit of students.
- The faculty prepare Annual Academic Plan, maintain Teaching Diary, and Lesson Plan (Teaching Notes) to ensure a systematic and planned activity.
- Student centered teaching is followed so as to enable them to get their doubts clarified for better and comprehensive understanding of the syllabus content.
- Student feedback is obtained to evaluate the teaching skills of the teacher concerned
- Various committees are formed which includes student representatives also to accomplish the task in the most transparent manner.
- Academic coordinator and vice-president of the student’s union are appointed by the Principal to monitor and coordinate all activities, organize various meetings and oversee NAAC activities.
- All the faculty including the office staff are encouraged to follow e-governance to minimize paper work.
- Bridge courses are conducted in few subjects to familiarise the students to cope with the syllabus. Certificate courses are also conducted to supplement the students with additional knowledge on related issues.
Prayer Assembly is a regular feature where the faculty highlight moral values to be imbibed and followed. The student representatives introduce a GK question everyday to keep themselves abreast of the ongoing events.

Govt. Degree College for women, Madanapalli Was established in 1984 due to the relentless and untiring efforts of the local philanthropist late Sri T.N. Raghunatha Reddy with the sole intention of providing higher education to the Women students in and the land around Madenapalli .
The college is situated in the heart of the town and a meagre 1.04 acres of land. If was a humble beginning initially with a student strength of 24. At present they are UG courses in students B.Com, B.A, and B.Sc are offered besides Restructured courses like B.Com (CA ) and B. Sc (M.P.Cs), B.A (under Medium ) was introduced to enable the students of urdu community to pursuer higher education During the academic year 2021-2022, B.Sc (Sericulture) has been started.
This is the only Women’s institution is the entire Medanapalli Revenue Division providing access to students bellowing to B.Sc , Sc,ST,OC and minority communities. The institution aims of imparting quality education to women students to make them self-and empower them economically. With the available infrastructure facilities the facults have been doing their best to train the students in all fields. As a result the performance of the students in university examinations has been quite encouraging and stands first among all Govt.Degree College Women’s in the district. The curve of success has always been more them university aggregate many students have bagged prohibit awards for four consecutive years.
If is hearening that we have been adopting innovative methods to train the students seminars and gust lectures and group discussion I.C.T based teaching and the use of virtual and digital classrooms enable the students to exhibit their talent and achieve their best an all friends. We table all steps to promote creativity and confidence ensure that they become independent curriculum we provide a wide range of opportunity for our students achieve excellence in social cultural and community endeavors. Necessary steps are taken to involve students in community services through N.S.S and Y.R.C and R.R.C. Their exposure provides them an opportunity to take active part in problem solving and evaluating and working in teams and communicating so as to mould themselves they are provided with opportunities to valued relationships and work for the community.
The institution has been leacredited by N.A.A.C under cycle two based on which RUSA sanctioned Rs. 2 crore towards infrastructure and equipment under this scheme. A new block with classrooms has been constructed with all facilities. All the department all equipped with good infrastructure to offer the students best teaching learning process. The faculty are using I.C.T supported by LCD projection for effective teaching besides following the traditional method of lecturing. Jawahar knowledge center (J.K.C) and AP Skill Development corporation train the students to face the challenges of the job market . These two enhance the employability skills and life skills among the students. All necessary steps are taken to train the students on all frames so as to be self reliant in life.
